We have been looking at why things sink and float.
 It is amazing what happens in nature.
This week we checked our prior knowledge, you know, what I already have in my mind.
Our  next step was to make some predictions about why a rock sinks , bone  floats, why a ten ton ship doesn’t sink and a ten ton ship submarine  does.
We tested a solid ball, spoons inside a bag, little rocks, a bead, clay, paper towel, a bark and a spoon.
I wondered what other mystery will we learn about in our science next week.

Hi, My name is Sam and I am a Year 5 student at Mt Carmel School.  I wanted to participate in the Summer Blogging as I was with my mum when Rachel came to talk to her class.
